The Rolex company started in 1908. Almost immediately it became famous. In 1910, after Rolex was introduced to the world every manufacturer wanted to get Rolex certificate because that means not only prestige, but also recognition of exclusive quality. Rolex revolutionized the world of timepieces. By 1914, Rolex Company moved from Great Britain to Switzerland and settled in Billy. Within short period of time Rolex purchased additional factory in Geneva. Today all Rolex watches are manufactured in Bill & Geneva only. Oyster model (the first waterproof watch in the world) was made twelve years later. Special structure of the frame made Rolex Oyster totally waterproof. There is about 10 million Rolex watches was produced and it becomes very difficult to recognize fake unauthentic models. This is why Rolex Company fight with fakes for many years. Rolex watches by right are reputed as the most prestigious watches. It is a symbol of success and only several watch manufacturers deserve this reputation.
