Tamara Lempicka - Famous Art Deco Artist
Tamara de Lempicka was known to be the most famous painter in the 1920s Lempicka was born in Poland to a wealthy family then moved to Russia and lived there in till her husband was arrested during the Russian Revolution. She got her husband out of prison and they both flew to Paris where Lempicka studied art. 






The art deco style and the glamour of Hollywood influenced smoking and its accessories. Women smoked openly and Hollywood stars appeared in adverts. The cigarette holder was as long as you dared and some expand to over 20" (51cms)

 Ronson began to challenge Dunhill's top position in "must have" accessories.

Capone was the poster-boy of the media and he loved the attention. He was the true rags to riches story that has been the plotline in one too many gangster movies throughout the years. In his time, Capone’s fame was still a novelty.

As prohibition progressed Capone's fame, reputation, and influence grew, thanks in large part to his own public relations policy.
