Super-group ABBA have reunited for the first time in 22 years
for the premiere of hit musical Mamma Mia - the Movie
ABBA shot to fame in the UK after winning the Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo in 1974. They initially found it difficult to follow up their success, but eventually got a foothold in the charts, with SOS giving them their second top-ten hit, followed by three number ones in 1976. More success followed through the late 1970s and in 1980, with ABBA's lyrical and music style maturing. The later singles did not sell as well as the group's earlier work and ultimately, the band split up in

ABBA have reunited for the first time in 22 years for the premiere of hit musical Mamma Mia!
The band, which had a string of hits in the 1970s and 80s, joined film stars Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan for
the gala screening in Stockholm, Sweden
Anni-Frid Lyngstad - known as Frida - and Agnetha Faltskog danced on the red carpet with Streep to the cheer of
thousands of waiting fans
The full reunion was not certain until the last minute because of the reclusive lifestyle of 58-year-old Agnetha,
the former blonde bombshell of the group which sold 370million records.
